A recent CCTV showed that 47.1%of couples in which either spouse is an only child plan to have 2nd child, especially if  their first child is a girl. Meanwhile,52.9% of those couples who qualify for a 2nd child prefer to have only one. 

The survey also found that parents with higher education tend to be more willing to have more children. Nearly 60% of the couples earning more than RMB200,000 a year and 55.64% of those holding a Master's Degree or higher want to have a 2nd child.
